Bride of Christ Church San Mateo Founding History
Sis. Susana Merin, of Bride of Christ Church, Marikina Chapter got burdened by the plight of God’s Love Ministry, a pastor-abandoned church in the parking area of the Banaag Residence, Guinayang, San Mateo, Rizal. She requested Rev. Jara to consider leading the wandering group. After a season of prayer, Rev. Jara assumed the leadership of the church.
Later, the church transferred to 13 Pitang St., Pitang Subd., Ampid, San Mateo, Rizal. She became founded in personal devotion, basic doctrine, and Christian service. Then, he ordained elders, deacons, and deaconesses. He officially appointed church officers and regularized the weekly prayer meeting, Bible Study, and Sunday Worship. Membership increased. Outreaches began. Blessed, the church bought the property where it holds her services.
Established and known as Bride of Christ Church, San Mateo Chapter, by May 1, 2007, Rev. Marc Jara appointed Rev. Agustin M. Tanangonan Jr. to be the new pastor of this church.
